About the Area

Be one of the first to experience Mexico’s newest Riviera and let us share our dream with you. Los Ayala is located in the small, beautiful Mexican state of Nayarit, Mexico's newest travel destination, stretching along 100 miles of pristine Pacific coast, and commonly referred to as one of Pacific Mexico's precious hidden corners where the "Jungle meets the Sea."  The region is a Pacific Eden of flowery tropical forests and pearly palm shaded beaches, largely unknown to the outside world and features surfing, snorkeling, four professional golf courses, rare native wildlife including sea turtles and tropical birds, mountain and island adventures, shopping for local artwork and traditional Huichol handicrafts, charming fishing towns and miles of serene beaches.

The state of Nayarit is still mostly undeveloped, and the destination extends north of Puerto Vallarta all the way to the historic, colonial town of San Blas. Our favourite spots include the bohemian and hip surfing town called Sayulita which offers great shopping, dining and surfing lessons at the beginner to intermediate level; peaceful Lo de Marcos for its wide gorgeous beach; Chacala where the beach is said to be so pristine  you can eat oysters right off the rocks; Punta Raza and Playa San Francisco for their spectacular and wild beaches; colourful La Penita for its' true Mexican flavour and weekly market; Rincon de Guayabitos for its' three kilometre long flat beach, and of course,  the most beautiful tropical beach of all, Los Ayala.
Tranquil, Los Ayala remains one of Mexico's best kept secrets and offers a kilometre long stretch of beach. The beach is stunningly beautiful, a tropical oasis lined with palm trees and crystal clear, warm ocean waters - calm enough for children and non swimmers. Stroll along the beach and take delight in the fish & shrimp vendors, pelicans, dining in bare feet at a beach front restaurant, or a banana boat ride.

Close by are several stores where one can purchase souvenirs and snacks. Rincon de Guayabitos is just over the hill offering an abundance of excellent and affordable restaurants to tempt your palate, and dozens of shops offering a colourful array of clothing, shoes, Mexican art and souvenirs. Stay with us and experience Mexico as it was intended to be… lush jungles, palm fringed mountains; beautiful long, palm lined beaches, crystal clear ocean waters and a variety of great beachside seafood restaurants, quaint sand streets, friendly locals, and music with heart and soul.

Los Ayala

Los Ayala is a dreamy little Mexican town nestled along a one kilometre bay at the very foot of the Sierra de Vallejo Mountain range. An undiscovered gem, Los Ayala is an authentic Mexican beach
town and a true Mexican fishing village that is just now beginning to be discovered as a tropical
beach destination by the foreign tourist. The setting for the town is reminiscent of the “Garden of Eden”.  The surrounding vegetation is dense and thick, including a thousand shades of green,
hundreds of dancing palm trees; giant lime trees, mahogany trees, and an abundance of papaya,
mango, banana trees....... READ MORE
